Dancer and Tightrope Walker are a loose diptych of observational videos, filmed in London parks. Each portrays a found situation and a given physical gesture, performed by the person for their own pleasure rather than an audience. In each case, a small section of a public space is carved out for and by this person’s activity, temporarily claimed by their presence.
